Platform Background Introduction#

OKX (formerly known as OKEX) was founded in 2017 by Xu Mingxing, the former CTO of Douyin, and is a leading global digital asset trading platform. The platform initially set its headquarters in Beijing, China, but relocated its global headquarters to the Republic of Seychelles in 2021 due to adjustments in domestic cryptocurrency regulatory policies.

Despite the tightening of virtual currency trading regulations by Chinese authorities, OKX continues to provide services to domestic users. After announcing business adjustments in mainland China in 2021, the platform withdrew its domestic offices but retained the registration and trading rights for Chinese users. Fill in your mainland China mobile phone number (select international code +86), receive and input the 6-digit SMS verification code:

After completing mobile verification, select "China" as the registration region, read and check the user agreement, then set your account login password:

Important Note: The selected region must match the information on the identification document exactly. After completing the basic registration, you will be automatically redirected to the user backend, but you must complete advanced verification to conduct digital asset trading. After passing the verification, you can receive a random reward of up to 50 USDT.

Advanced Identity Verification Process#

Currently, the platform requires users to complete real-name verification via mobile devices; PC operations will prompt you to switch to the app for processing. It is recommended to download the official client in advance to complete the verification process.

After logging into the app, enter the "Identity Verification" module
Select the type of document (supports ID card/passport, etc.)
Upload clear images of the front and back of the document
Complete the live face recognition verification
